Thanx, Gerard.....
appreciate your input. I think my asking price on the doors is reasonable as
well. And if Spritedom doesn't appreciate same, I''d rather throw them away
than give them away to the unappreciative. Really. Matter of fact, Sports &
Classics is just around the corner from me here in Stamford, so in the event,
I'll just give them to Jon as I owe him a favor to two anyway. Let the
cheapos in the Sprite community deal with him instead, in the event!
Hope things are going well with you in your post-divorce days. Divorces are
tough when one has kids. Thanx again, mate.

CB,
I'd say it's reasonable if you needed a couple doors and were faced with
bodywork costs or even for parts. Take a look at what glass, quarterlights,
etc cost. But Spridget guys are about the cheapest guys around and I doubt
that anybody on the lists (or maybe elsewhere) will give you more than $40-$50
a piece for them. As you know, I'm "re-engineering" making the 5 speed kits
and I have some guys complaining about $10 to $20 price increases, but then
that's a whole 'nuther story. In the beginning, I had people begging me to
produce these and after a couple hundred hrs of work invested, I have only two
people committed to buying a kit anytime soon,
Anyway, not trying to criticize, just my 2 cents based on my experience. I
have put a lot of parts on CL and nobody there wants to pay anything either.
I've had a really nice roll bar up for sale for maybe six months and same
withe a nearly perfect early original Midget grille

Hi, Gerard...
1. Pair '74 Midget doors, L & R, complete.
black int. panels with windows, registers & quarterlights in good condition.
LH door - excellent condition.
RH door - bodywork done to fill in slight horizontal "crrease" (person just
'touched' the door while making a tight turn in a parking lot) but needs
finishing work & paint; otherwise excellent "straight" shape.
No rust, either door.
2. Pair external rocker panels - suitable for Bugeye and/or single-hole
Spridgets.
New, never used. Insides were prepared and sprayed with zinc phosphate upon
arrival, then oversprayed with rubberized undercoat. Will most likely last
longer than the rest of your car! Nicely "protected" against rust/corrosion.
Half the cost of new @ $80 for the pair plus shipping.
All the above stored in dry, inside storage for many moons. Matter of fact, I
was surprised they were still on premises.
According to Moss and others, new doors are NLA over here except in separate
parts(I find this hard to believe but this is what I'm told).
I cannot find a price on new Spridget doors"complete" but new MGB doors a la
Victoria British are going for $600 at their
"discounted" price.
So I'm figuring $300 for LH, $200 for RH or $500 for the pair, plus
shipping.....and being complete doors, these are NOT "light" for shipping
purposes.
Contact PilotRob@msn.com if interested.

P.S. - For those who want to go out and buy a wrecked or salvage Spridget and
pull off the doors, fix'em, straighten, paint'em or otherwise build
'em....great. Go with my blessing.
