Also check your condenser.
Capacitors can just dry out, even if they have never been used.

Subject: [Spridgets] No spark bugeye
Hi guys and gals:
I'm stumped and need some help. I was test driving my bugeye, 1275 engine,
a few weeks ago when it just quit. Had to have it towed home. I have no
spark. I thought it must be a failed Pertronix unit so I put points and
condenser back in. Still no spark. I have power to the coil. I have tried
several coils, so I don't think that's it. I checked the points and they
seem to be working properly. The rotor looks good. Any ideas on what might
be the problem? Now I'm thinking the PerTronix might not the problem. Is
there a way to test them?
I'm probably missing something obvious
Any ideas?
Thanks
