Well, I'm a law abiding citizen and I have a suppressor. It makes
shooting quieter, more pleasant.
Actually the more commonly used term to describe full auto weapons,
suppressors, SBRs, AOWs, etc. is "NFA item".
They are acquired through Class 3 FFL dealers and are regulated by the NFA.
If you google "class 3 items" you'll get more NFA type hits than you
would if you googled "title 2 items".
Title 2 is another term for NFA. Class 3, NFA, and Title 2 are used
interchangeably by buyers and sellers of NFA items.
You may be right about the wording of the law but I doubt you can find
one precedent where someone was convicted of possessing a legal NFA
item while in company of the legal owner.
You probably cannot find one single incident of a legally possessed
NFA item being used in a crime.
You're right, no one "needs" a silencer. No one "needs" a car.
Certainly no one needs more than one car, right? No one "needs" to
drink alcohol.
What everyone needs is personal responsibility and integrity.
