Find out what is shorted first. It might not be the harness
that is shorted.
Follow everything from that fuse in the diagram.
Disconnect things until the short goes away.

Subject: [Spridgets] wiring harness
Hey guys,
I've got a short somewhere in the dash circuit (I think). The 2nd fuse
from the top keeps blowing, taking out the tach, fuel gauge, and turn
signals. The harness is from a '79 California spec Midget, but the car
itself is a mix of RB parts.
I'm looking for input on my course of action. I figure I have 3 major
options:
1. Patch the 31 year old harness
2. Get a new harness from somewhere like British Wiring.
3. Put in a universal harness like Painless.
Each has its pluses and minuses. What do you guys think?
