I am saddened to hear that Vern has passed away.
I was fortunate to meet Vern at the Buster Cluster and enjoyed Vern's company
and stories of his history piloting fighter jets and experimental stunt
aircraft. He was kind enough to send me two dvds of his stunt flying.
I knew Vern to be an all around nice guy who was an accomplished pilot who
served his country in Vietnam. Despite all of his accomplishments he was very
humble.
If I were located in the Northwest, I wouldn't hesitate to assist his family.
My sympathy and condolences go out to his family.

Guys
One of our own, Vern Olsen of eastern Oregon, has passed away.
His family needs to take care of a few remaining issues like his four (5?)
toy
cars.
A big Healy (100-6) in parts, a Metro, an MGB,a Midget and a bugeye
(condition
unknown at present).
As a group we need to help them clear out the collection for a reasonable
price.
Contact Tami directly for more info and remember that he was one of us and
treat this as you will want for us to treat your situation when it is your
familie's time to deal with the same situation.
Thanks
BillM

sorry, I got distracted. I have taken photos of the austin healy that is in
peices. Click on this link to see the pictures of the Austin Healy 100-6 in
progress http://www.nwcraftfair.com/blog/dads-car
I also have some of it's documentation attached. We have the title but I just
don't know where to look for a buyer for a car that is in such a condition.
In addition we have the 1959 Austin Healy Sprite Bugeye. The 1978 MGB and a
1979 MG Midget. I have attached a picture of the MGB but I need to take one
of
the Midget and the bugeye.

Thank you,
I will, we found a package that you sent. It had a conversion kit to put an
engine in something. We think it was the Austin Healy that is unfinished. The
AH Sprite is complete. I will look up the registration information and get
back to you.
Thank you for your kindness

Hi Tami
I am VERY sorry to hear about your dad- he was a great guy and seemed far too
young and healthy to go so soon. We will miss him.
I think that he had one "Bugeye" Sprite (Austin Healy) and a later model MG
Midget (1973 or so). I don't remember what else he had but if you could shoot
a picture of what you are asking about I will be far better able to help you.

My name is Tami Anderson. I am Vern Olson's daughter. I am writing to let you
know that Dad passed away just over a week ago. Mom says you were a good car
buddy of Dad's. We are now facing how to deal with Dad's cars. We were hoping
you might help with some counseling on their value, a good market for them
and
what ever else we need to know.
Our biggest concern right now is the Austin Healy (the big one?). It is still
in it's infancy as far as refurbishment. Dad has it a little skattered. I was
hoping you might start a dialogue with me and offer your expertise on the
cars.
Thank you
Tami
