Bob,
You sure you did not plug the bypass hose up with silicone or some such
stuff many years ago? I have no bypass hose on my engine, hust two rubber
caps and hose clamps. It is a kit the VB sells. Seems to cool better for
me this way. Why would you want to bypass hot water from the head back into
the cooler water going into the pump anyway? It's probably one of the
reasons why you don't have an overheating problem.
