That pop out tool is mainly for the thinner sheet metal of a car body - for
use with shallow dents.
I used to have one. . gave it away to someone. It was not that good even
for shallow dents on thin metal.
The cleanest way to pull that dent out would be to use one of those weld pin
devices that will weld in a pin to the area. You then attach a dent puller
to the pin to pull the dent. After that, you grind the area to remove the
pin weld. This way, you are not messing with the radiator such as with a
regular dent puller where you have to use a screw to go into the material.
You would still need to finish the area with plastic body filler, sand and
paint. Not sure if body filler can handle the temps of the radiator top. .
but I think it should be ok.
