Hi John,
I use a 1 7/8" wrench on the lock nut. Fits perfectly. Make sure you have
the locking washer tab pounded back out of the way so the wrench will fit
over the nut. Nuts sorta thin!
They are "handed" nuts on some cars so watch that. It isn't always a case
of twist left for taking it off!
