Actually, you only defaced the car when you smashed the hell out of the
front end of it with the accident on the trailer. If it wasn't for the fact
that you were physically ill after that bone-head move, I would say that you
ruined it then. I sure am glad that neither I, nor anybody else, was within
a hundred miles of that occurance and had to be the misplaced recipient of
the blame for that incredible screw-up. It was, and still is, albeit a bit
damaged, a very pretty car.

I can recall showing up to my first AHCA meeting in 1974, as an 18 year old
kid, with my California BN6 big Healey. It was/is (still have it) rust free.
Somewhere in San Bernadino in the 60's, the car got the sweetest 1" fender
flares shaped into the original steel. It also had Shelby aluminum slotted
wheels, and a side exhaust.
Some club asshole comes up, looks it over, and announces , "You ruined that
car. You RUINED that car!" I say something to the effect of, "ok,
dickhead... where's your car?" He points to his car. As I look it over, I
discover he's sheet metal screwed road signs in as floors. I pointed to
that, and said, " I ruined my car?"
