Weren't the 4.22 standard issue on the A series cars. And the 3.9 started with 
the Spitfiget? The 3.7 was late 78 to end of production, IIRC.

No. The 3.9 came in with the 1275 engines. The 3.7 came in August of 1977 to 
end of production.

The 1967 1275 Sprites and Midgets had the 4.22 gears. The 3.9 started with the 
68s if I remember correctly. David is right about the 3.7 cars.
