The debate raged for many moons yet I, a mere mortal, have stumbled  
upon the truth of it all.

Were the "Sprite" emblems  gold or silver?

They were both simultaneously!

I would send a pic but I don't have it of the gold flaking off my  
"Sprite" emblem revealing the silver metal underneath.  It is plated  
and bright enough to look like chrome although it isn't.
