I have again come to the fount of all wisdom and knowledge.
I can not get the nut on the steering shaft it is like someone was pounding
and it is soft and spread a bit.
Since it seems I must chase the male threads, what size die am I buying to do
that chore?
Another question, seems like the steering shaft needs to be quite a bit out on
the splines where it goes into the rack. Anyone have an idea how far? there
are splines a deep grove and more splines there. Without the shaft way out
past the groove I can not get the wheel on as the shaft really needs to be
about an inch longer to assemble as I would expect.
As always, any info or comments are welcome.
Check this out, looks just like Franks, we have twins almost.
