Here in Oregon, salt is not used on roads.  Most areas use either sand or
pumice from volcanoes throughout the area.

Perhaps THEE reasons rust isn't a problem with our cars.

I'm amazed at the cars some of you guys restore...impressed actually.  As
for myself, if there is rust I'll pass on the car.
