"They scare deer off the shoulders and back into the woods".....and not walking either.....they RUN from the sound. Which happens to be exactly what I have observed and experienced in my deer whistle equipped Sprite & VW on more than one occasion. And yep....horses, too which is great considering the stables that border RT15 in my area wherein more than one horse has been struck on the Merritt Parkway in Stamford in pre-whistle days. Cap'n.
