Sheriff's departments around here swear by their deer whistles. Only times I
have hit deer, I haven't had whistles on. VERY circumstantial excuse for
evidence.

It depends a lot on the diet of the game in question. Good corn-fed midwest
bambi tastes much better than foraging town-bound bushy-tailed tree-sheep
(as my australian shepherd liked to call them), but I would think that a
good
country squirrel would be better than the deer in our city "forest
preserves".
