Rear wheel bearings

I'm almost ready to put the rear suspension in.  I have a few questions
about the hub assembly.

I thought the rear bearing needed packing.  Someone told me the diff oil
will do this.  Right or wrong?

If I do grease it what type of grease?
What do I use to press in the bearing?
Should the hub be greased at all before putting in the oil seal, O ring and
bearing?
