I am trying to use the original fasteners on my BE restoration. I'm cleaning the scale and crud off with glass bead in my cabinet. Were the original bolts, nuts etc zinc coated? I am stripping off any coating if any that was on them and now I want to keep them from rusting so I'm hitting them with a little paint. Bad idea? Any other quick way to prevent the hardware from rusting in front of my eyes. Phil Nase Quakertown, PA http://home.comcast.net/~philnasecpa |
