Good point. I did not see obvoius damage, but one (or both) of the
steering arms could have been tweaked on the accident. I don't have
spares to check, though.
 
The tie rod ends did go on at lease 15 turns, probably a bit more after
trying to align the front end.
 
Anyone have a spare set of steering arms around for a post '72 spridget?

What about the steering arm? 
It could be bent. 
Tie rod ends should be screwed on 15 full turns each give or take 1/2 a 
turn to point it up.
