A 74 should have an alternator with internal regulator. Is the ignition light on when running? Does the ign lamp light up at all? When key is on, engine off. Something is killing the battery. When it's charged, and nothing is switched on, remove the neg terminal and rub it against the battery post. There should be NO spark. If there is a spark, you have something on. Boot lamp? that one is a real sneaky devil. Interior lights? Or a short in the parking lights. -- Frank Clarici Toms River, NJ |
