I empathize. Most of the time, when I ask for something particular at a
store -- like a brass nozzle for my hose -- I get the same reply:
"those aren't too popular." I've come to realize that nothing I need or
want is too popular. (Parts for MGs, for instance, or for my '76 VW
bus. Lucky Strike nonfilters.) I just plan ahead. That probably sounds
a little smug, and it probably is.
Cursing the darkness gets fatiguing when there's so much darkness.
