Hello David,
       i understand marking at 30 degrees... but at what rpm should
       this be taking place? .. right now i'm at about 10 degrees at
       about 1000 -> 1200 rpms.... .....
       is 30 degrees where it would be if i static timed then started
       it?... ... that is, static time at the "book" 8 degrees? .. and
       DR> So mark your crank pulley at 30deg advanced.
DR>                 Crash
DR> i also have a good bright timing light so i can do that
DR> way too.... (unfortunately it is NOT the adjustable kind.)
