I have a very original bugeye that I should sell. I have owned it for 30
years and it's a two owner car. I don't want to sell it but I'm not able to
keep
bunches of cars like Jay Leno....who is a great guy and a biker like
me....vintage bikes take up so much less room....lol. I have a new quest and
that is
a MKII Tiger, it's coming along and I bought it from an old high school
friend, same as the Sprite....we were all buds in the 50's and 60's and still
are. Did the mech back in the 70's, rebore new pistons etc, did the rest in the
mid 80's, with the exception of the disc brakes i put on in the early 80's
it's all org right down to the smooth case and the tach drive. we went to a
lot
of healey meets in the late 80's and early 90's so some on the board may have
seen the car....Jay Fishbien has, so has Rich Chrysler, he just lives round
the corner from me....What is it worth.....don't know.....but it is showing
it that it was done 20 years ago.....except for the interior, used carpet to
replace the rubber but Martin Mc Gregor did a great job on the rest. I have a
factory hard top....tons of spares etc. Prob is I first rode in this car
when I was 14, but i'm not going to use it now because of the tiger. Do I keep
it , or pass it on to someone who will love it. Example....in the 90"s i owned
the bugeye, a nice round wheel arch midget and a 100 six healey that won
fastest 100 6 at the 30th anniversary meet at encounter......anyway Donald
gave
me that award and the award at Conclave when we won the Grand competitor
award in 85 for the bugeye. I think it was the first sprite to win
that.....sorry have to go family calls....short time on puter....sorry for all
the
spelling but have to go......cheeers.....phil
