I had a similar problem in a Pontiac Grand Prix. Problem turned out to be a
worn out ignition switch. It couldn't maintain the voltages to the right
places needed to keep everything alive. Of course before you try the
switch, try the seating of the connectors in the harness leading to the
switch. Good Luck.

: Chevy Question - No LBC - Help!
> My wife's 99 Malibu (4 cylinder, automatic) is acting up. It will start
and run for a second or two, then quits. If you turn the key off and then
try again, it does it again. If you just crank it without turning the key
off first, it won't fire. The dash lights don't come on either. The seatbelt
light flashes as you turn the key but doesn't stay on like normal.
