The 2 fastest "Sprites" in VSCDA, Roger Heil and the
infamous Dr. J, run 1.5 twin SUs. Mal Fay runs a
single 1.75 SU. I could never get my 1.25s to run
right, and have a DCOE on mine. Mike Gigante talked
me out of trying 1.5 SUs and sticking with the Weber.
I think either can be made to do well, personally the
Weber is reasonably intuitive for me (yes, I need to
dyno the car), and will probably run one as long as
they let me. I took the Weber off my streetcar
(re-jetted, of course), and put SUs on it, and now
it's become somewhat of a pooch. I can get the SUs to
run reliably and decently, but can't get them to
scream. Just not my forte.
