I don't doubt this, and I'm glad you've had good luck with them, but on
average, how many people do you think, as a percentage of SU owners, have had
your
record? Now compare that to the percentages for a weber. Certainly there ARE
SU success stories, just as there are plenty of people who got where they had
to go using points. It becomes a question, for some people, of how likely it
is they'll have a success story to tell if they go with one setup over the
other. If you're saying SUs can be made to work out with a combination of skill
and luck, I'm with you. If you're saying they're more likely (or as likely) to
work out than a weber, well that's a different story and I'd say no. If you
took this 'practical' outlook too far, none of us would want MGs, so I suppose
it's all a matter of degree and preference, and I'm glad you've found
something that works for you. For me, the day I sh*tcanned them was one I look
back
on with no regrets.
