Seems I recall that a 'Saloon' is a sedan, a 'Shooting Brake' is a station
wagon and a 'Roadster' is a car that was not (originally) available with a
permanent fixed roof. Perhaps some of our British friends can clarify? And
how did "Lory" become "Truck"?
