Hi Bill,

I ran into this problem with my LCB header (from APT) also, as have
others on the list. I myself had to pull the head to be able to twist
the header to fit through the hole. Others have been able to get by
with what you mentioned, jacking up one side of the motor, and others
have taken the more draconian step of enlarging the hole.

It is a bit of a pain to get in place, but I was happy with the results
I got with my header.

I am trying to install my new peco LCB header and I can't fit it down
thru
the hole with the steering rod in place.

Do I really have to take off the head or pull the steering shaft to get
this
sucker in there?

I was thinking about unbolting the motor mts on the one side and jacking
up
the motor slightly???
