Hang in there Bev and lean on hubby to prod them along...or find a better
garage and have it towed there and finished. If the bill is higher you can
put a bow on the Midget and show it to hubby at Christmas and tell him is was
originally going to be his new outboard.
We have a similar problem in my wife's RX7. When we blew the enging a few
years ago the dealer wanted $4000.00 to install a new one. My wife took it
to the college where she works and let the guy in their maintenance garage
install a used engine for $600.00. Well $2000.00 later we have an RX7 statue
in the driveway that runs sometimes, has a loose frontend (not before he
worked on it) a frozen AC compressor, wires hanging below the engine
compartment and an oil leak that makes my Midget jealous.
I now refuse to get involved in the car as she STILL wants to take it back to
this boob!
Good luck, Merry Christmas.
