First, which block do you have? there were two basic 1098 blocks, the 10cc and the 10cg. As I remember, the 10cc was the one to use. The 10cg could not stand anymore than mild tuning. This was probably related to the bearing width. Next, why bother with a 1098 anyway? Get a 1275. Next, if you must use a 1098, be prepared to spend a lot of money to get no more performance than a stock 1275. I recommend Vizards book for great detailed examples of what works with which engine.  |
