Tools to check crankshaft end float? My Haynes manual (page 45 if you have one) states that to check crankshaft end float all you need are a screwdriver (to pry the crankshaft) and feeler gauges. This seems to make sense to me, but if there is a better way to check it let me know. In the meantime I do have a big rusty screwdriver and some bagged up feeler gauges.
