IMHO I would only convert if I used the Frontline kit that replaces the
entire shock. Otherwise I would have Peter C. rebuild the levers to better
than original (so I'm told).
I'm running the Frontline kit on my Bugeye and it's great.
I've ordered various conversion kits that retained the lever as the upper
arm. I sent them all back, including the ones for the rear.
