Subject: | Alternator Idiot Light |

Greetings For a while the dash light for the alternator has been half on when the car is at idle but went out under normal driving conditions. Now the state has changed to steady red. I have checked the connector at the alternator and it seems fine. It has been suggested it could be a diode in the alternator. Anybody have any suggestions of other things to check before I take to the rebuild shop in the morning? Is there a method to check the output with a standard Volt/ohm meter? Thanks Dave 72 Midget |
