(Relayed plea for help from my father-in-law)
My father in law has a 1965(?) MG Midget here in Perth (Western Australia)
which is +ve earth.
He has just bought a new battery and accidentally connected it up as -ve
earth.
Apparently the Midget started and ran OK for 3 or 4 trips before he realised
and corrected the polarity.
Now the ignition system is behaving as though the battery is totally dead
(even though he does not think it is?).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether anything has been damaged,
etc, please??
