No, a sure way to rduce their life.
Always keep the direction the same.
The reason is that fatigue life is related to a) the number of load cycles
abd b) the peak to peak load cycle.
You can't change a) but by rotating the axles you are nearly
doubling the peak to peak loads.
Think about it. The load in one direction (torsionally) is the drive,
in the other is only engine overrun. The principal stressses on the
flange is more complex (it takes the bening loads as well as torsion
loads).
Anyhow, don't swap.
