To anyone who's interested, I saw one of the first Honda 2000 coupes last night.
Fresh off the boat - one of my neighbor's son-in-laws had brought it by his
house last night. Appaently he works for a honda dealership, or Honda regional
or something like that. In any case, it was fresh off the boat, and he needed
to
take it into the shop to get some 'scratches' removed before putting it in the
show room.
It looked pretty nice, the MSRP sticker said 32K (before dealer markup)
The back looks almost identical to a Miata, and the front is like a Z-3. The
engine was a 2-liter 4-cylinder VTEC with 240HP (how can they do that??) no
turbo or supercharger!
I listened to it drive up and down the street, and it sounded like the typical
honda sewing machine engine :-(
Over all a pretty nice car, but I wasn't terribly impressed. There was nothing
that made the car stand out, and it did NOT sound like a sports car should.
Also
having that little H on the back, seemed to diminish it's potential, they
should
have at least put an accura badge on it.
