[Haynes, Mark] The A+ motor is a later version of the A series
motor, the engine plate (Transmission mounting plate) is different, and I've
heard the motor mount placements are different somehow. The A+ block is
sturdier, though there's no potential horsepower difference directly related
to the block reconfiguration. I'm not sure if A+ motors have been made for
the Mini or not, but they can be put into spridgets. I talked to Dean
Snepenger ( builds mini mania's long block 1275s) and he says he's never
seen an A+ motor, though I know that Mini Mania sells them.
