Rebuilt the bottom end of my 1500 engine 42,000 miles ago.
Never heard of pinning the crankshaft thrust washers
Its been fine. Since then I have striped it again to add special camshaft
(yes, no bearings !) and home re-worked head, but the crank has remained
untouched.
