Wrinkle paint success is in the warming of the paint after the 3rd heavy coat is applied. Strip it to bare metal. Do not prime it. Spray 3 heavy coats as per the directions, do this in the garage on a scrape board. Place the dash out in the direct afternoon sun. Have a beer or 2. Come back and look at the wrinled paint. Do not attempt to install it for 48 hours, 24 will work but screwing in the switches will smutz the paint. It takes a few days to become fully cured. Heat guns, hair dryers, heat lamps do not warm the part evenly. Now if you have access to an oven and a wife you does not mind........... -- Frank Clarici Toms River, NJ Bugeye Sprite 67 Sprite 59 A40 http://www.exit109.com/~spritenut/ |
