Ron,
How could I forget the tire polish?
I will let you in on a funny story about the NON-use of tire polish.
Upon completion of the ground-up restoration on my deep pink Mk.II I
immediately entered it in the Lime Rock concours. The little thing
hadn't turned 5 miles. It was drop-dead perfect, top and bottom, inside
and out.
I have shown Sprites for many years and expect the upturned nose when
entering multi-marque classes, but now for the punch line.
One of the judges motions me to one side after the judging and whispers:
"Let me give you a little advice for the next time you show your car.
You lost a lot of points because you didn't Armor-All the tires"
I thanked him for the tip. (What a jerk.)
