> Are we calling the side covers under the intake/exhaust manifolds the timing > covers? I had always known them as lifter covers or side covers. Bruce, the timing cover is at the front of the engine, covering the timing chain, hence the name. The 1275 doesn't have the lifter/side/tappet covers, that's why they moved the breather to the timing cover.
