Shoot, I know I'm a good mechanic, but only think I'm a fair LBC
mechanic. When I know that I'm not only a good mechanic, but a damn good
LBC mechanic, I'll be happy! Then again, maybe not -- part of the fun
for me in working on my LBC's is puzzling out a problem, or applying an
innovative approach to fixing something. Perhaps I wouldn't enjoy it so
much if I could work on these cars with no problems?
You're right, though; got Maggie fired up after more than a year using
nothing more than a spark plug socket, a shop rag, some oil, and the
little tiny screwdriver I keep on my key ring to tighten my glasses.
When her engine crackled into life, an instantaneous grin spread across
my face, and I set there for more than a few moments, fat, dumb, and
happy, listening to her talk to me. Life is good, and the simple
pleasures make it even better....
By the way, the neighbor's dog won't even go near that fence between the
properties now; the couple I bought the car from are tickled pink!
Happy Holidays!
