Hi Jennifer,

Always glad to talk about SCCA. You didn't mention where you are located but
there are SCCA Regions all over. Go to the web site: www.scca.org and use the
region locator to find the closest one. Then contact the person listed. They
will answer all your questions and let you know what events they have and
where they run.

You don't have to join SCCA to participate, but if you join, most costs are
lower for members, and you will be covered by additional insurance. Your car
doesn't really matter for autocross and road rallyes, run what you bring. The
group will put you in the correct class. They even have helmets you can
borrow if you don't own one. Racing is a little more involved and usually
requires a roll cage, a flame suit and other safety equipment, so you may not
want to start in racing.

The Philly Region runs 13 to 15 autocrosses each year, we offer club racing,
and we are putting together a road rallye program for 1999. If you still
can't find what you need, get back to me and I'll get you some info.

Have fun!
