We mailed a Corvair engine once (via UPS). Entire engine is about
250lbs, well over the UPS limit. We sent it disassembled in three
packages: heads, block, pistons/rods/jugs. The block with crank and cam
just made the limit. I don't remember the total cost, but I think it was
a bit over $100.
In the case which started this thread: heck, it's a Spridget! Rent a
small U-Haul trailer, pack everything in, and tow it behind your car to
Fla! Or, sell the non-LBC car, rent one of their small trucks and put
the Spridget in the back. I've moved several times in mid-project!
