It's official - the LBC disease is contagious!
I got a phone call last night from a friend who has never really shown
any interest in cars at all. Apparently, he saw a procession of
Triumphs driving through Windsor yesterday - two Stags, two Spitfires,
and two others he didn't recognise. He spent ages describing one of the
Spitfires to me - a red Mk 3 in absolutely beautiful condition - every
body panel was perfect, there were no gaps where panels had been badly
fitted, he couldn't fault it at all. Then he said "even someone who has
as little interest in cars as I do can appreciate why you like classic
cars so much when I see something like that!" So, all I have to do now
is convince him to buy one! That might take a bit more work - maybe if
I could just get him behind the wheel of my Spit he'll realise what he's
missing out on........
