Just to help avoid misplacing blame on the DPO (although he/she/it
surely derserves some -- mine never undid a single snap when putting the
top down "you just have to give it a good shove like this (wince) and it
goes right down..."), I have the same donut things on my 1980 Spitfire.
However, on mine it's the pins (that everyone stocks :) that are missing.
Just got her last week, and the bonnet rattles horribly! This is job #1
for me (err, right after that brake fluid fountain in the left rear wheel
-- she stops a bit long on only one circuit...).

I ask because they have a great price on tonneaus (45 quid, I'm
hoping to get one for about $100USD shipped - much lower than I've seen
elsewhere). Good enough to make me hesitate just a min. Any
experiences?
Oh, and rebuiding the brake wheel cylinders for the rear drum
brakes is easy, right? (I was going to do it next month anyhow, but I was
kinda hoping that it'd be a pre-emptive strike -- my speedbleeders haven't
even been ordered yet @#$@!$!).
