Took the Spit out on my day off friday and noticed that my once rock
hard brakes were a bit mushy. So I lifted the bonnet and found that my
master cylinder is leaking. The front reservoir was almost empty but
the rear was still full. I topped it off with some DOT 4 and ran my
errands for that morning. I stopped fine but once again my brakes used
to be quite hard and responsive.
So who out there has had MC problems. I guess I'll rebuild the thing.
I took the liberty to look for a kit friday but Dad didn't stock one.
What should I look for in a kit or are these things even worth
rebuilding? Oh and the reservoir is not cracked I did check that. I
believe its one of the seals in the cylinder itself but without taking
it off its hard to tell.
