In 5th gear, 70 mph is 2800 RPM plus or minus a few. As a rough average, 2000
RPM in each gear is ten times the gear....so 2000 RPM is 20 mph in 2nd, 30 mph
in 3rd, 40 mph in 4th, and 50 mph in 5th.

35 mph in 5th is about 1900 RPM....that is approaching lugging the engine...I'd
be in 4th or third at that speed. 60 in 5th is 2400, and 80 is 3200. There's
about 400 RPM per 10 mph in 5th gear...you can do your own computing for +/- 5
mph speeds.

You might have someone go out and pace you to make sure of these
speeds....Lowrider's tach read a bit high, but I am trying to compensate for
that with these estimates. A ticket might be the result if you don't make sure.
