While on my way from Oregon to So. Calif. I ran into the same problems
that Bruce ran into when my alt. was going out. It would not charge the
battery. The alt. light would glow very dim on and off every 15 seconds.

When I got to So. Calif I lost power to everything. The A/C ETAC went
nuts, everything off then on. The engine started to die, it didn't have
any power. I was in So. Calif at 108 degrees at the time and on the
Ventura Freeway at 5 PM, just as I crossed the "Grape Vine". I was lucky
and right near an exit so I used the emergency lane and was able to get
off of the freeway.

I changed out the alternator ($385.00 only place I could find one was at
Harbor Ford Dealership) and my problems were solved.

Several mods (too lazy to type them)
