Hey, I didn't know there with DSM guys on the list.
I was looking for some advice for a '90 Laser 2.0 non-turbo I have.
The timing belt went and the piston smacked the valves on the number 3
cyclinder. I have the head off and I'm trying to figure out what to do
Ideas so far:
1. Get a used head. Cheapest I can find is about $175.
2. Get a used engine. When they have them, the local yard wants $300 (I
think)
3. Convert to electric. Are there kits out there for this? Is it
possible to home-brew. This was just my latest crazy scheme, but if
anyone knows how to do it, I bet they're on this list.
I don't really need the car, but I'd hate to junk it. If I could revive
it cheaply it would be handy as a commuter.
TIA
Tim
