Chris,

I purchased a Lincoln SP150 about 6 yrs ago.  I love it.
I use it mostly working on cars.  It's a 110V unit so 
it is quite portable.  As someone said, go to a welding
shop and talk to them.  If you go with Miller, Hobert,
or Lincoln, I really don't think you'll go wrong.
